Tom Henderson has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has already gotten off to a strong start in terms of pre-orders following the game’s official reveal last week.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows pre-orders are looking very strong. I don’t have the exact numbers yet, but no one in the know is disappointed with them.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the first entry in the long-running franchise to take place in feudal Japan, which has long been a requested setting among fans. Set towards the end of the Sengoku period in 16th century Japan, and see players following dual protagonist: Naoe, a female Shinobi, and Yasuke, a samurai of African origin based on the historical figure of the same name.

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is comparable in size to Assassin’s Creed Origins, and players are able to switch between both characters during missions, who both have their own distinct abilities in terms of combat. Vantage points also make a comeback, but are used to scan the environment for points of interest instead of populating the map with objective markers.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled for release on November 15 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
