Assassin’s Creed Shadows Reveals Stylish Parkour In Naoe Gameplay Footage

Ubisoft has polished off a new snippet of Assassin’s Creed Shadows gameplay footage, which looks a the grappling hook employed by female protagonist Naoe.

The Shinobi will utilise the grappling hook to effortlessly navigate the rooftops of feudal Japan allowing for seamless and stylish parkour antics. It definitely looks traversal will be pretty user-friendly this time around, and to be fair, Ubisoft has been doing a great job at making parkour in Assassin’s Creed games as stress-free as possible the last few entries.

Previous Assassin’s Creed games have introduced new trinkets to aid in navigation, if even just in a subtle way. For example, Assassin’s Creed Revelations gave Ezio a hook blade extension to boost his reach and allow him to slide down wires across rooftops, while Assassin’s Creed Syndicate actually featured a grappling hook that worked a little too well.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is scheduled for release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on November 15, 2024.
