Ubisoft as issued a quick trailer highlighting the stunning feudal Japan setting featuring in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
The 16th-century backdrop has been long-requested by fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and from the look of the trailer, players can expect to visit a range of diverse landscapes in the upcoming stealth-action title, ranging from lush forests, mountainous regions, sleepy villages, grand temples and more.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows features two playable protagonists in the form of Naoe, a female Shinobi, and African samurai Yasuke, who is based on a real Japanese historical figure. Players are able to switch between characters during the course of the story, and Ubisoft has said that most content in the game can be played by either character.
Ubisoft will publish Assassin’s Creed Shadows for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on November 15, 2024.
