Ubisoft has announced the Year 1 roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and features a New Game Plus mode alongside various other key content including new difficulty settings.
One of the key drops will be the expansion Claws of Awaji, which adds more than 10 hours of new content into the mix, and is free if you preordered the game. Meanwhile, new story-related drops will be added to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which includes a new ally, abilities, activities and extra backstory that is going to ‘permanently impact the game.’
Beyond this, Ubisoft is adding Photo Mode updates, special collaborations, parkour updates, specific features updates, new paid-for store drops and more.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on March 20, 2025. According to research firm Circana, the game currently ranks as the second-best selling game in the US of 2025 so far. Ubisoft announced seven days after launch that Shadows had reached three million players.
