Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was one of many games to receive PlayStation Pro support following the launch of Sony’s high-end console last November, although it’s probably fair to say that its performance on the system remains one of the most underwhelming examples of PS4 Pro to date.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate PS4 Pro update released

Fortunately, Ubisoft has this week released a new Assassin’s Creed Syndicate update in an effort to polish up PS4 Pro support for the stealth-action game, meaning the upscaled 4K resolution is far more consistent than it was previously (though tests have shown mixed results).Previously, Syndicate’s PS4 Pro support was so poorly implemented that it actually somehow managed to look worse than the base version. Just keep in mind that you will need a 4K TV to enjoy these added benefits.

The new update is now available to download, so fire up your PS4 Pro and grab it now!

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was released in October 2015 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One, and takes place in Victorian-era London, where gamers switch between siblings Jacob and Evie Frye as they battle through the Templar-controlled districts of the city to put a stop to oppression. It is to date the most recent mainline entry in the series, with Ubisoft opting to rest the franchise while it works on the next chapter, rumored to be titled Assassin’s Creed Empire.

PS4 Pro is available now for $399/£349, and allows for a number of visual enhancements such as 4K resolution, HDR, improved frame rates, and various other graphical effects that give compatible titles an overall more realistic look.
