Ubisoft has released a PlayStation 4 Pro update for last year’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate PS4 Pro patch now available
The update weighs in at 761MB and confirms that the gamers can now enjoy “4K support for PlayStation 4 Pro.” However, early reports are not very positive; some users report that the update is limited to the HUD, while others suggest that the game still runs at its original 900p resolution.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in October 2015, and takes place in Victorian London. Players can switch between two assassins, namely the Frye twins Evie and Jacob, as they attempt to reduce the Templar’s hold on the city by waging war against a street gang known as the Blighters.

Ubisoft confirmed earlier this year that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is being rested this year as the company knuckles down on the next chapter in the stealth-action series. Rumors have suggested the new game will be called Assassin’s Creed Empire, which is set to kick start a brand new trilogy, with the first set in Egypt.
However, the French publishing giant has indicated the game may not see the light of day in 2017; in addition, it’s possible we won’t see the franchise return to its annual release schedule following Empire’s debut.
Of course, 2016 hasn’t been completely devoid of Assassin’s Creed. Earlier this year, Ubisoft released its spin-off series Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, and last month saw the launch of the Assassin’s Creed Ezio Collection for PS4 and Xbox One. In addition, the upcoming movie adaptation starring Michael Fassbender is due to hit cinemas in late December.
