Assassin’s Creed tops UK charts for end of 2007

The year 2007 was a great year for gaming, even better for followers of the PlayStation 3 as they were treated to exclusive titles such as Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. While not a PS3 exclusive, there is still one title that stood out – Asssassin’s Creed, which went multiplatform in 2007.

Finishing 2007 with only a 7% drop in sales, Assassin’s Creed proved to be the favorite among the UK fanbase. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin’s Creed launched in the UK in November 16, 2007 where it received mixed criticisms ranging from being a progressive title, to one that felt all too short with a confusing ending.

The rest of the top UK games of 2007 looks like this:

1 – Assassin’s Creed
2 – FIFA 08
3 – Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
4 – The Simpsons Game
5 – Need for Speed: Pro Street
6 – Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
7 – WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008
