A PSVR 2 version of Astro Bot has been ruled out by the game’s creative director during an interview with MinnMax, although there’s a chance that we may see a PC port down the line.
Nicolas Doucet was asked about the possibility of a PSVR 2 edition, to which he responded, “No chance. It’s designed or a different medium.” When asked if there was “zero percent” chance of a VR version materialising, Doucet replied that “it would be a different game.”

In regards to a possible PC version of Astro Bot, Doucet had the following to say: “Well, we want to hear from you. Absolutely, we want to hear from you.”
The new Astro Bot game was announced by Sony during its latest State of Play event, and is a full-blown adventure that is roughly four times the size of Astro’s Playroom. The game will feature more than 80 different stages and over 15 new abilities for Astro to utilise, and will include over 150 PlayStation character cameos for players to uncover.
