Auto Chess is officially getting a full PS4 launch next week on January 27, 2021, and the game will be free-to-play for all players, whether you purchased the founder’s pack or not.
Announced on the PlayStation Blog, the game will launch alongside Season 10 of the game and the controls have been tuned to the PS4 controller delivering an experience that is best for the platform. Season 10 will bring three Pandaman heroes that will join you in battle to protect their homeland and families.
Auto Chess works by having you fight against seven other opponents, maintaining your HP and eliminating enemies. You then activate synergies as you upgrade chess pieces, acquire items and use your line up to overthrow the enemy. You can read a full list of tips on the PlayStation Blog.
PS Plus owners will also get access to Chiyome Mochizuki, a free Chess Player, while Yi Sun-sin and Matryoshka are available to buy in the PlayStation Store, alongside the Goblin Workshop chessboard. You can see these bonuses below:
Auto Chess launched back in December in early access with a Founder’s Pack of exclusive content that will be gone once the game releases. This release is a lot sooner than we were expecting.
Auto Chess releases for PS4 on January 27, 2021, and is playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
