The USB-C version of the popular Backbone One smartphone game controller, which was mainly for use with Android phones, will work with the upcoming iPhone 15.
The Backbone One controller currently has two variants: a regular black one and a white PlayStation Edition that mimics the look of the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Only the PlayStation Edition controller officially supports PlayStation Remote Play, allowing you to play your PS4 or PS5 games on your phone. And of course, it can be used to play the plethora of games running locally on your phone.
Yesterday, Apple had its usual annual announcement of new flagship iPhones, and this year’s lineup is the iPhone 15.
One of the most radical changes is the iPhone 15 models’ wired charging and data port being USB-C, due to upcoming requirements by the European Union. Since the iPhone 5, Apple’s smartphones have used the company’s proprietary Lightning port.
The Lighting port version of the Backbone One PlayStation Edition controller is still available for owners of older iPhones.
