Baldur’s Gate 3’s Physical Release Might Get A Physical Release Outside Of Japan, If There’s Enough Interest

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PS5, but the only way to grab it is to do so through the PlayStation Store, or live in Japan, because that’s the only region where a physical copy has actually released.

Of course you could order it, but the point is there’s currently no official word from Larian Studios that it’ll be released in physical form in any other regions.

However, the studio’s director of publishing recently polled fans about their interest in a wider physical release on Twitter, hinting that one could be in the works, if there’s interest for it.

They further implied that if the release would happen, it would arrive on two discs, something that we’re seeing more of in larger physical releases, such as the Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition release.

With Baldur’s Gate 3 being such a ground-breaking title, it would be a shame if the game captured in physical form was not made globally available.

If a release outside of Japan never comes, hopefully the Japanese copy also has English language support, and isn’t censored due to Japan having stricter regulations than others.
