The re-release of the 2004 PS2 and Xbox title includes spruced up visuals for up to 4K resolution on supported formats, plus local cooperative play. Set in and around Balder’s Gate, the sequel includes five playable character classes — Barbarian, Monk, Necromancer, Rogue, and Cleric — and hordes of foes to battle against, such as Hobgoblins, Ghouls, Golems and more.
Players will battle through 80 levels and uncover hidden areas, secret characters, and hundreds of items, while forging magical weapons and armour to give you the edge in battle. There’s also four difficulties to choose from, namely Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme to really test your skills.
All versions of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II support local cooperative play, while the Steam version will support Remote Play for a long-distance cooperative experience. Fully verified on Steam Deck, now’s the perfect time to grab an ally or brave Baldur’s Gate on the move and play the sequel that defined a generation.
Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 is due out on July 20 for PS5, PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
