Baldur’s Gate III developer Larian Studios has revealed that Cross-Play is not part of the launch package, but may arrive at a later date.
Speaking during an interview with WCCFTech, the developer had the following to says about Cross-Play making its way to the game: “We’re shipping BG3 with cross-saves between PC and PS5, and we’ll see about cross-play post-launch.”
Larian Studios previously revealed during an interview with IGN that Baldur’s Gate III will take players around 200 hours to complete if they want to see everything the game has to offer. Even so, a regular play through of Baldur’s Gate III will last around 75-100 hours.
Here’s the official blurb for more details on the game:
Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power. Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil. From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
Baldur’s Gate III is scheduled for release on PS5 on September 6, 2023.
