Battlefield 1 creator DICE has confirmed its long-term plans to support the first-person wartime shooter.
Responding to player feedback, Battlefield 1 updates will now be delivered on a regular monthly basis as opposed to the larger patches that are released each quarter.
On the agenda are Battlefield 1 platoons, which may launch with the incoming Spring update. Players will be able to join forces as one unit and get properly organized for battle.
The developer also plans to tweak Operations in order to provide a better gameplay balance. DICE says that these changes will be deployed in the May update.

The next Battlefield 1 DLC is called In the Name of The Tsar and introduces the Russian army along with new maps and weapons that would have been used by the country’s soldiers.
DICE says:
"Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar will bring you to the Eastern Front, where you will fight alongside the Russian army and witness the brutality of combat and the bitter cold of the Russian winters, as seen in the concept exploration images in this post. Prepare yourself for all new tactics employed by the Russian army. Though the frost is cold, the steel is colder."
Though the finer details of the Russia DLC have yet to be revealed we have got a glimpse of some of the concept art.
The latest Battlefield 1 update 1.07 introduced new maps, operations and French army content. DICE also recently introduced Battlefield 1 Premium Friends, which allows players with a premium pass to invite friends to play new maps.
