Sony has revealed on the PlayStation Blog that Battlefield 4 was the best-selling title on PlayStation 4 in terms of digital sales during the month of June 2016.
The 2013 first-person-shooter saw a massive boost in popularity thanks to a hefty sale by publishing giant Electronic Arts which saw a number of titles under the company’s umbrella receiving a price cut.
Battlefield Hardline also benefited from said price cut, jumping up to number two in the process ahead of FIFA 16 and Rocket League.
Sadly, Resident Evil 5 from Capcom failed to make much impact, debuting at no.18, although the game was only released on the tail end of the month. You can catch our review of Resident Evil 5 here.
Elsewhere, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine ruled the roost when it came to downloadable content, while PlayStation Vita’s most popular game for the month went to critically acclaimed JRPG, Persona 4 Golden.
