Battlefield 6 On Consoles Can Reportedly Reach Up To 120 FPS

Battlefield 6 can achieve up to 120 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, according to an email from Electronic Arts sent to account holders spotted by MP1st.

The email contains a section titled “Build for Console & PC” and goes on to outline a number of features, including enhanced Cross-Play functionality between formats. Quality and Performance Modes are also detailed in the mail, which reveals “up to 120 FPS or high-fidelity visuals.” PS5 Pro is also mentioned as offering higher frame rates and resolution over the standard version of the console.

Elsewhere, the email also mentions post-launch support for Battlefield 6, with Covert Operations forming part of the first season rollout which also includes new maps, modes, and weapons. Speaking of post-launch content, we’ve already got a roadmap of Season 1 that confirms free updates will arrive beginning October 28, including additional weapons and maps, the first of which is known as Rogue Ops. In addition, the Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 is also set to launch on Oct. 28.

Meanwhile, analyst firms including Ampere have predicted that the game will sell over five million copies in its first week, and has already drummed up 1.5 million preorders on Steam alone. Battlefield 6 will be going up against Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as we approach the holiday season, with ex-Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra stating he feels EA’s shooter will ‘boot stomp‘ Activision’s latest effort.

Battlefield 6 launches October 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
