Battlefield 6 Release Confirmed For Holiday 2021

Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson has confirmed that Battlefield 6 will be released in holiday 2021, putting it out three years after the previous entry in the first-person shooter franchise.

Battlefield 6 Release Window Confirmed By EA

Wilson confirmed the news during the company’s latest financial call overnight, where he also revealed the next instalment in the Need for Speed series will drop during EA’s FY 2022. Wilson teased that Battlefield 6 will boast a “never-before-seen scale,” but didn’t go into any further details.

The previous two Battlefield games have taken place during the WWI and WWII, although it is believed this new game will set the action in a modern day setting.

Battlefield 5 was released for PS4, PC and Xbox One in November 2018 and received robust post-launch support via Tides of War, adding new weapons, maps and more to complement the existing campaign and multiplayer offering.

EA will launch Battlefield 6 for PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S in holiday 2021.
