Electronic Arts has revealed in a post on the official Battlefield 6 site that it is delaying the release of Season 2 following community feedback, and as such will extend Season 1 while the team refines the next major content drop for the shooter/
Battlefield 6 Season 2 is now set to launch on February 17, 2026, while the extension to Season 1 will see an update arrive on January 20 that comes with new weekly challenges, a Bonus Path, and a continuation of the Season 1 Battle Pass.
We are also reinforcing Battlefield Labs as the public preview for future game updates in the late stages of development. Both the Season 1 extension and the use of Battlefield Labs will set the foundation for new and exciting content throughout our live seasons, including what will come in Season 2.
Meanwhile, January 27 will see players able to unlock new customisation rewards, such has the Weapon Package and a Soldier Skin, plus XP boosts. These are available by progressing through the Frostfire Bonus Path tiers, and includes free rewards such as the Hardware XP Boost, a Vehicle Skin, and playercard customisation items.
