Skydance Interactive has announced a brand new folk-inspired monster-slaying epic known as Behemoth, which is coming to PSVR 2.
According to the PlayStation Blog, Behemoth will see you thrust into a bleak world where all hope is lost, with players going up against near-invulnerable creatures — the titular Behemoths. Here’s some background on the game world from Principal Concept Artist, Dylan Scher.
We really wanted to capture a world that was both brutal but beautiful. The people here are all outcasts, sent to this distant corner of the world to live out their final days among the Behemoths, and we wanted the danger and monolithic scale of these creatures to be reflected in the landscapes. Great, sheer cliffs descend into the foggy unknown.
Behemoth features a major emphasis on melee combat and has been built from the ground-up for VR platforms. Furthermore, aside from the towering creatures themselves, you will also face off against human enemies, with combat being all physics-based, therefore requiring real weapon collision for blocking and parrying attacks.
Behemoth is currently without a release date and will be released for PSVR 2.
