Bloodborne has become the highest-rated original IP on PlayStation 4 to date, boasting a Metacritic score of 93 at the time of writing.
While The Last of Us: Remastered holds a review average score of 95, it’s worth pointing out that this is a re-release of a PS3 title, so technically it’s not an original PS4 game.
As such, Bloodborne takes the crown as PS4’s best original game, with From Software’s brutal, Gothic action-RPG wowing critics and gamers alike since launching in the U.S. on Tuesday.
Just for reference, past PS4-exclusives didn’t come close to Bloodborne’s success, with The Order: 1886 and DriveClub sitting at 65 and 71 on Metacritic, respectively.
