While some publisher annualize their games to maximize profits, Bethesda isn’t really known to be part of that list of publishers who do that. On the contrary, Bethesda has been known to work as long as they want on their games, which is why the following news is very surprising.
In an interview with Tek Syndicate (via VG247), Bethesda VP of Marketing Pete Hines revealed that the company has a game coming out this year that they haven’t even told anyone about yet (around the 02:40 mark).
We have a ton of stuff going on – and we even have a game coming out this year that we haven’t even told anybody about yet. They can wait. It won’t be so long.
Hines didn’t say more about it; so we don’t know what platforms it’s on, what genre it is, or whether it’s from an existing Bethesda franchise or a new one. Could it be the rumored Game of Thrones game that Target supposedly outed weeks ago (probably not)? With 2017 just having a few months left before it’s over, chances are, we’ll hear about this one very soon. Maybe a reveal during Paris Games Week in October?
What do you think this unannounced game is? And why is Bethesda waiting this long to announce it if it’s due out in 2017? Maybe it’s a mobile game hence why the publisher is not hyping it much? Once we know more about it, we’ll be sure to let you know.
