Bioshock: The Collection PS4 and Xbox One streaming not allowed

Bioshock: The Collection, 2K’s remastered collection of games from its popular first-person shooter series, won’t allow players to stream content on PS4 or Xbox One.

With streaming so popular on PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s console it seems a bizarre move by the publisher, who you’d think would surely want other players who haven’t bought the game series to see the new remastered graphics.

2K hasn’t yet explained why streaming Bioshock: The Collection has been banned at this stage, though it has posted on the message boards to confirm the news. The tone of the post suggests that the publisher isn’t particularly happy about the lack of streaming either.

Why can’t I stream Bioshock: The Collection?

“If you’re playing BioShock: The Collection, there’s a good chance you’d like to stream your adventures in Rapture and/or Columbia”, reads the message.

“Unfortunately, streaming BioShock: The Collection isn’t an option right now. We will update this article should this situation change.”

For now then, the only live gameplay that we’ll see from the remastered game will be if players record it first and then upload it to sites like YouTube.
