Black Ops II live streaming policy, how not to get banned

The Call of Duty franchise has had an extremely strong multiplayer presence on home game consoles for years, and with any game that allows players to interact within a digital world comes a set of rules and policies for those players to follow. This is something that many gamers are familiar with so it comes as no surprise that Treyarch has posted the Call of Duty: Black Ops II Security & Enforcement Policy in the game’s community forums.

What is new are the rules implemented regarding Treyarch’s new livestreaming service that will be offered in Black Ops II’s multiplayer, where players will be able to stream matches in real-time through a streaming provider such as YouTube.

Treyarch warns that the misuse of this new service, as with the misuse of current online functionality, can result in temporary or permanent banning from the streaming service. The policy states: “Any user who is found to have offensive or unauthorized content in their live stream is subject to penalty. Offensive content includes but is not limited to foul language, racially charged language, and nudity. Unauthorized content includes but is not limited to unlicensed music, TV shows, movies and brand logos.”
