Piotr Babieno, the CEO of Bloober Team, has revealed the promotional and marketing push for Silent Hill 2 Remake will begin ramping up “very soon” following a lengthy period of silence on the PS5 horror title.
Speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Babieno confirmed that publisher Konami is working on a promotional campaign for the psychological horror title, which hasn’t been seen at all since its October 2022 reveal trailer.
Konami is developing a promotional campaign (…) we believe that this promotion will start very soon.

According to a recent Sony video promoting upcoming PS5 games, Silent Hill 2 Remake is set to launch in 2024, although a concrete release date has yet to be announced. Previously, fans took to social media to ask about the lack of updates on the game, prompting Bloober Team to release a statement on Silent Hill 2 Remake’s status, which is said to be progressing smoothly.
Silent Hill 2 was originally released for the PS2 in October 2001, and follows James Sunderland as he travels to the foggy town after receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary. While it’s the second game in the series up to that point, Silent Hill 2 offers a standalone narrative that means those who never played the original won’t be left out in the cold.
