Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement Release Delayed To 2027

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, the follow-up to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, has been pushed to 2027, developer ArtPlay has announced.

Koji Igarashi, the game’s producer and former lead producer on Konami’s Castlevania franchise, commented on the delay in a video message:

I would like to share with you some information about our new title, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement. We have made the decision to move the game’s release to the year 2027. Currently, the development of the game has entered its final stages. We’ve included several recent screenshots in the blog post.

We also hope to be able to share some gameplay footage with you soon. We understand that this is disappointing news for our fans, but everyone on the development team is working hard to make the game the best it can be. We truly appreciate your continued support.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement sees players thrust into an immersive 16th-century England coated in a distinct gothic atmosphere, where a mysterious ethereal castle under the control of the Demon Lord Elias, casts its shadow across the land, unleashing its demonic forces on the locals. Despite the Church and Kingdom’s best efforts to drive back the demons with a strike force, their efforts have ultimate failed. Hope is rekindled however when Leonard Brando and Alexander Kyteler – a member of the Church’s Black Wovles and White Stags, respectively – join forces to combat the demonic hordes and restore peace.

Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement is now scheduled to launch in 2027 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
