Borderlands 4 Possibly Teased By Randy Pitchford As He Says Unannounced Title Is 'The Greatest Thing We've Ever Done'

Randy Pitchford, co-founder of Gearbox Software, has touched base on an upcoming, as-yet unannounced title that he describes as ‘the greatest thing we’ve ever done,’ leading to speculation that he’s talking about Borderlands 4.

Speaking during an interview with IGN, Pitchford was asked about his personal favourite entry in the Borderlands series is, to which he responded with a game that wasn’t actually out, but rather an in-development project.

Look, we haven’t even announced anything of it. Clearly, we’re working on something. And I know what we’re working on, and holy shit… it’s the greatest thing we’ve ever done. And I can’t wait, but it’s not time yet. It’s not time yet. There will be a time.

While he didn’t name Borderlands 4 outright, but given the nature of the question and Pitchford’s response, a lot of people are convinced it is indeed a new entry in that franchise. Borderlands 4 has been mentioned before, when it was listed on the LinkedIn profile for a developer at Lost Boys Interactive.
