The creator behind the multi-million selling Borderlands franchise has departed Gearbox Software.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Matthew Armstrong confirmed that he has decided to leave the developer that birthed the popular shoot-‘n-loot franchise.
“Things changed. No longer working at @GearboxSoftware. I will always love Gearbox, but it’s adventure time," he wrote.
Armstrong didn’t elaborate any further as to what he has planned next, but we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Gearbox is developing the next full chapter in the Borderlands franchise, having recently remastered Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for the PS4 and Xbox One bundle, The Handsome Collection.
