Taito has announced a Bubble Bobble 4 Friends PS4 release for this winter in Japan, with the game arriving on Sony’s platform with a host of extra content. There’s current no word on a US and UK launch for the PS4 version of the game, but we’ll keep you posted.

Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will come complete with the same extra stages that are to be added to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, as well as the original Bubble Bobble.

The Dragons Bub and Bob are back, and this time, the twin brothers will be supported by their friends. So welcome back to the lovely world of Bubble Bobble and reunite with the busiest (and cutest) twin beasties you ever saw.
As in the previous highly popular series, the thrilling and epic bubble fight starts again! The game takes place in a child’s room. One night, the room became enfolded by a miraculous light and every object under its rays suddenly came to life—along with the child’s most favorite toy, the little dragon Bub. Full of jealousy, the wicked magician Bonner challenges the friendly dragon to battle.
In the 80s and 90s, the players jumped through the levels either solo, or in the two player mode. In the new part of the popular Bubble Bobble series, a 4-player cooperative mode is integrated, providing even more fun with friends and family.
