Bulletstorm revealed for consoles and PC; coming 2011

EA has revealed Bulletstorm, heading to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC sometime in early 2011 from Epic Games and developer People Can Fly. This first-person shooter will run on the latest Unreal Engine 3, and feature a unique skillshot system, giving rewards for creative kills.

“People Can Fly has created a wildly fun first-person shooter that looks gorgeous running on the latest Unreal Engine 3 technology, and the skillshot system is a welcome addition to the genre,” said Epic president Michael Capps.

“We’re very excited to work with Epic Games and People Can Fly on this new project,” said GM of EA Partners. “The first time we laid eyes on Bulletstorm, we instantly knew this is going to be the next big hit from these two great studios delivering yet again an entirely new experience for shooter fans.”

You’ll play as Grayson Hunt, a mercenary exiled to a far away planet. He and his cohort are exposed as traitors and must fight to survive and make it back to their home planet to strike revenge.

The beans were spilled on the game over the weekend in the latest issue of Game Informer, and the game is expected to be one of the two to be shown on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
