Astrogen has confirmed that Bus Simulator is coming to PS4 and Xbox One in 2019. Revealed via the announcement trailer, it’s the first time that bus simulation game has appeared on console.

The console version will be a port of Bus Simulator 18 on PC.

The trailer confirms a vibrant open world featuring 12 districts to explore. There’s eight licensed buses to drive from four manufacturers. It will also feature various in-bus events.

A four player multiplayer mode is confirmed, alongside a progression system and a day and night cycle. The bus driving action will take place across a fictional European city called Seaside Valley.

Here, you’ll be driving buses manufactured by the likes of Mercedes Benz, MAN and IVECO. They’ll be challenges to complete and numerous customization options to enable you to create your own bus models.

In the press release, Astrogen explains a little more about the Bus Simulator multiplayer:

Another highlight of Bus Simulator on consoles will be the game’s multiplayer mode, which will offer players the unique opportunity to create and manage a bus company with up to three other virtual drivers. Together they can set out to complete numerous missions, expand the city’s new bus network, unlock and develop new city districts, drive alongside each other in cooperative convoy trips, or utilize the ticket inspector mode, which will allow one player to drive the bus while a colleague checks the passenger’s tickets or assists in the many in-bus events such as customers listening to loud music or blocking the doors.

A firm release date for Bus Simulator on PS4 and Xbox One has yet to be announced. However, a 2019 release window has been confirmed.
