According to a report on GameSpot, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on PlayStation 4 does not support Sony’s newly-introduced Share Play functionality.
The site discovered via internal testing that the military shooter censors all footage of the game, which means no content can be streamed to gamers using Share Play.
Introduced in Firmware 2.0, Share Play allows you to stream a game to another player, who can then join a multiplayer session or take over from the host to control the action themselves. The best thing about this is the guest player does not need to own a copy of the title in question.
While Sony has said that all title will support the feature, there are a few exceptions: PlayStation Move-compatible games won’t be supported, and third-party publishers reserve the right to censor their games to avoid story spoilers. Obviously, Activision has taken measures with Advanced Warfare.
Despite this, the publishing powerhouse has yet to release an official statement on the matter.
