Developer Treyarch has confirmed that the Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta will kick off first on PlayStation 4 from August 19.

Pre-order customers for the PS4, PC and Xbox One version of the upcoming military shooter will automatically be invited into the beta. Sadly, there are no plans for a PS3 and Xbox 360 beta for the game.
In related news, the premiere for Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombies mode will take place at the San Diego Comic-Con this week, where it is also expected details on the game’s Collector’s Edition will be unveiled.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is scheduled for release on November 6. The PS4 version of the game has been confirmed to run at 1080p, while the PS3 version will lack some of the features seen in its current-gen counterpart.
Sony announced at E3 2015 that it had partnered with Activision to bring DLC for the Call of Duty series to PS4/PS3 before any other format.
