Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Associate Design Director, Matt Scronce, has revealed during first episode of the COD Podcast that omnidirectional movement cannot be turned off in the game, describing it as a “core foundational feature.”
Omnimovement is a core foundational feature that cannot be disabled by a player, it’s across the entire game, campaign, multiplayer and zombies. But with Intelligent Movement, those are a suite of player settings that can be turned on or off, by default they will be off for everyone.
We’ve been conscious of ensuring we’re not widening the skill gap too much. If you want to slow down, you can and still be successful. You just may not look as cool. And that’s fine.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 recently had its Open Beta dates confirmed, which will take place from September 6 — 9, although early access is available August 30 — September 4 for pre-orders and Game Pass members. The latest entry in the multi-million dollar selling first-person shooter franchise launches October 25.
