Call Of Duty Will Have ‘100% Parity’ On PS5 & PS4, Promises Xbox Chief Phil Spencer

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has assured that Call of Duty will continue to have 100% parity on all formats including PS5 & PS4, despite the first-person shooter franchise now part of the Xbox format holder following its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

The goal is 100% parity across all platforms as much as we can for launch and content. We have no goal of somehow trying to use Call of Duty to get you to buy an Xbox console. I want the Call of Duty nation to feel supported across all platforms.

The Xbox boss also confirmed that there won’t be a platform exclusive beta for Call of Duty going forward. Recently, Sony and Activision had partnered to allow for early access betas on PlayStation formats, including the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare III — that’s no longer going to happen, though.
