Call of Duty WW2 dedicated servers are back up for PS4 and Xbox One

Sledgehammer Games has announced that Call of Duty WW2 dedicated servers are now live and kicking for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

The news comes following a number of server issues that have plagued the first-person shooter since its launch on November 3.

In an effort to remedy the problem, Sledgehammer was forced to replace the dedicated servers temporarily with peer-to-peer connections over the weekend.

However, the studio has now confirmed that they’re back up and running across all platforms. Any further complaints regarding the game are to be directed to Activision’s support Twitter account.

In addition, the game’s microtransactions, known as Call of Duty Points, will be going live on November 21.

One of the most egregious issues with the game is the fact its 48-player social hub, Headquarters, is a solo experience — unless you invite other gamers into the yourself, that is.

Call of Duty WW2 is the first entry in the multi-million selling franchise to take place during the Second World War since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War.

The game focuses on the latter stages of the conflict, taking gamers through an action-packed campaign from the perspective of the U.S. 1st Infantry Division.

Upon its release, Call of Duty WW2 generated the series’ biggest sales in three years and topped the U.K. All Format Chart in the process.
