Call of Duty WW2 PS4 file size rumored, and it’s a whopper

According to a report on CharlieIntel, the upcoming Call of Duty WW2 will eat up a whopping 80GB of hard drive space on PlayStation 4 — and that’s just for the standard edition of the shooter.

While that number is significant in its own right, it’s even more shocking when you consider the Xbox One version of WW2 is rumored to require just 45.14GB of space.

However, it’s worth noting that the Xbox One edition may not include the 4K texture pack, something that CharlieIntel speculates is featured in the PS4 release as standard. That would definitely explain the major bump in the game’s file size.

Xbox One owners needn’t worry about downloading the 4K texture pack automatically for WW2. Instead, this will only happen if they are grabbing the World War Two shooter on an Xbox One X console.

Call of Duty WW2 is scheduled for release on November 3, 2017 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. The game is the first entry in the multi-million selling series to take place during the Second World War since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War.

The single-player campaign will focus on the exploits of the U.S. 1st Infantry, as they push the Nazis back through occupied Europe.

As always, the dedicated multiplayer that has defined the Call of Duty series will return, complete with a new game mode known as Gridiron.

Those of you who fork out for the Call of Duty WW2 Season Pass will be able to enjoy an extra map, which revamps a classic Call of Duty multiplayer stage.

Looking ahead, it has been heavily rumored that Call of Duty 2018 will return to contemporary battlefields. Not only that, but it looks like it’ll take the form of Call of Duty Black Ops 4.
