While most people buy every year’s Call of Duty game for the multiplayer, each year’s entry comes with a full-fledged single-player campaign. For this year, Sledgehammer Games is bringing things back to the past in more ways than one in Call of Duty: WWII. Not only will we be getting boots to the ground, but this year’s campaign is getting downright dirty.
Contrary to years past, this year’s campaign reveal trailer doesn’t look as bombastic, nor as full of explosions. What it has though, is more brutality and what seems to be a more compelling story. Check out the Call of Duty: WWII single-player campaign trailer to see
Call of Duty: WWII tells the story of Private Ronald “Red” Daniels, a young recruit in the U.S. First Infantry Division who experiences combat for the first time on D-Day, one of the largest amphibious assaults in history. After surviving the beaches of Normandy, Red and his squad will fight their way across Europe, engaging the enemy in iconic battle locations such as the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, as they make their way into Germany. The journey begins on November 3.
Set for release this November 3 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, check out this exclusive Call of Duty: WWII PS4 bundle that has a rather interesting color choice. There’s also a cool pre-order bonus too if you’re into that sort of thing.
