Development on retro-flavoured platformer Mega Man Universe has been scrapped, Capcom has announced.
Writing in a post on the game’s Japanese website, the company offered its apologies for hanging the project out to dry, though wouldn’t divulge an exact reason for canning the title other than putting it down to “various circumstances.”
The former PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE title featured 2.5D visuals and focused on user-generated content. Players would have been able to cobble together original stages or edit existing templates based on Mega Man 2, as well as share their creations online.
