Earlier this week, rumors surfaced that Microsoft was waving money in the face of Capcom to secure a timed exclusive for upcoming Survival Horror title, Resident Evil 5.
Furthermore, it was suggested that this timed exclusivity would pertain to the "huge" announcement that Capcom is expected to make on the game at the upcoming E3 Media and Business Summit next month.
However, Capcom’s Corporate Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development, Christian Svensson, has quickly dispelled the rumor on the company’s official blog.
“The assertion is false. RE5 is a multiplatform release that fits with our oft-stated cross-platform strategy,” wrote Svensson.
With the rumor debunked, it still remains to be seen just what Capcom has planned for the highly anticipated horror sequel when E3 kicks off on July 14. In the meantime, why not post your expectations in the comments section below and let us know how you feel?
