Capcom and Sony seem to be developing quite the friends-with-benefits relationship as of late. It all started last year when it was announced that Capcom would receive their very own PlayStation Store design. This was followed up by successful downloadable content on Sony’s adorable first-party title LittleBigPlanet. Finally, after all of the previously mentioned support, Capcom is digging into the application that many developers shall soon head towards in Home.
Today, Famitsu revealed that Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 will both be receiving the Presidential treatment when it comes to Home. Street Fighter IV is lined up to have a post-release patch that will enable users to meet up in Home and start matches from within the social networking application. However, Resident Evil 5 can expect an entire space reserved for its opening environment from the upcoming release. According to Famitsu, this Home space will also contain several minigames for users to enjoy.
That’s not all though, as Capcom is also releasing downloadable virtual wear for your PlayStation Home avatars. Who wouldn’t want to walk around looking like Chris Redfield or Chun Li? We know we would.
There hasn’t been any specific dates or prices released as of yet, but be sure to stay tuned as this is something we’ll stay on top of.
