Capcom’s media event in Hawaii last week featured news on the company’s upcoming releases. Captivate 2010 featured information on Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. We were not in attendance, but Capcom has passed on information about the showcase today. Some of the information below has already been revealed, but we figured it’s nice to have all the information in one place.
As previously reported, Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a team fighting game heading to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in spring 2011. It’ll be powered by Capcom’s MT Framework, and will allow you to play as your favorite characters from Marvel and Capcom.
Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 brings Nathan Spencer back to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live in Q1 2011. This time around, Spencer has upgraded abilities, including the jump move, as he faces off against General Sabio, a technologically sophisticated foe, who is on the brink of launching a deadly missile attack. Nathan’s grappling hook will return in this sequel.
Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is the next evolution in the Basara series coming to the PS3 and Wii this fall. The game gives players the ability to fight with swords, spears, bows, guns, and more as they battle against hundreds of foes.
It was also discussed that Dead Rising 2 is getting co-op play when it is released on August 31 on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Super Street Fighter IV is getting the free Tournament Mode DLC for PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 15. The DLC allows you to compete online with the top player from around the world and fight for control of championship titles. Costume packs will be available on April 27.
As previously revealed, Lost Planet 2 is getting DLC in the form of Map Pack #1, which includes new maps via the PSN and XBL. The pack will be available with the game’s launch on May 11.
