Castle of Illusion dev diary brings home the nostalgia

SEGA has released a new developer diary for upcoming Disney platformer Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse.

Check it out below and hear the team at SEGA Studios Australia – sadly due to close later this year – waxing lyrical on the original Genesis classic platform title which inspired this high-definition remake.

Castle of Illusion was originally released on the Genesis/Mega Drive in 1990, and has since gone on to become one of the most cherished retro platform titles to date. The remake will stick closely to the original game, and is being supervised by Emiko Yamamoto, the director of the Genesis original.

Do you have fond memories of Castle of Illusion for the Genesis? Are you happy for the game to receive a modern makeover? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
