Since E3 2012, details have been sparse about Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2, until last weekend’s Spike Video Game Awards 2012. A brand new trailer premiered showcasing gameplay footage, stunning cinematic s and the return of Dracula.
Gabriel Belmont returns in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Castlevania: Lords of Shadows after 1000 years of sleep to reenact his vengeance. From the looks of the trailer, Gabriel–The Prince of Darkness–is now a full-fledged vampire with the ability to suck blood from his enemies in some shocking ways along with making use of his light and dark powers. Interestingly, the game will also be set in a modern city along with the usual Transylvania setting.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 is being developed by Mercury Stream, which also developed Clive Barkers’ Jericho, and is set for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
