CD Project Red has detailed how to transfer your Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 save data to PS5, which allows you to hop over and play the game from your PS4 to the backwards compatible version on PS5.

The process itself is quite easy, especially if you subscribe to PlayStation Plus. According to the CD Project Red’s support page, you can use the following ways to transfer your game save.

  • Connect to your PlayStation Plus account and upload your saves and then download them on PS5.
  • Transfer your data via LAN cable or wireless connection (WiFi) from your PS4 to PS5.
  • Use a compatible storage device to copy and transfer your saves to the same PSN account on PlayStation 5.

Although the ways to transfer the game save are fairly simple, it’s a relief to know it can officially be done for the backwards compatible version of the game, we don’t have any idea if Cyberpunk 2077 game saves will be able to be transferred from the native PS4 version of the game to the PS5 version.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches for PS4 on December 10, 2020, and for PS5 in 2021.
