THQ today released a making-of video for the short film, Enter the Metro. The short film was a video for Metro: Last Light, which is set in the year 2034 beneath the ruins of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. Enter the Metro was a live action short film that was shot on location in Kyiv, Ukraine with a cast of more than 150 in sub-freezing temperatures. It combines live-action and in-game visuals to tell the story of the nuclear apocalypse that created the atomic Moscow wastelands.
The remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats, with mutants stalking the catacombs below the surface and poison fills the skies. The cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. There’s a civil war stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. Artyom holds the key to survival.
This first-person survival shooter is in development from 4A Games and slated for a 2013 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
