Black Myth: Wu Kong, which was announced last week and took the internet by storm, has revealed that one of the game’s defining features, a single-shot camera, was inspired by 2018’s God of War.
Daniel Ahmad on Twitter posted a translation of an interview the Chinese developer, Game Science, did with various outlets and one tweet highlighted that the single-shot camera was directly taken from God of War as it was a title they were heavily inspired by.

The game debuted last week with a stunning 13-minute gameplay trailer that caught the industry’s attention and instantly shot it up into many most anticipated lists. A PS5 and PS4 release of the game hasn’t been confirmed, but the studio has said they will be releasing the game on all major console platforms, which makes a PS4 or PS5 release inevitable at some point in the future.
Black Myth: Wu Kong is set to release on consoles.
