Kratos actor Christopher Judge reckons people are going to be blown away by the upcoming God of War Laufey, stating during a panel at Fan Expo Canada that “it’s a banger.”
“It’s a banger,” said Judge. “People are going to be blown away.” He then turned focus to Deborah Ann Woll’s casting as the titular heroine. “She’s so beloved in so many fandoms, and man, she brings it. She absolutely brings it.”
This latest entry in the God of War series focuses on Kratos’ wife, Faye (Laufey), and take place simultaneously with God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarok in a new realm now has Everywhen, which is a form of afterlife for the gods. Following her death at the beginning of God of War, Faye awakens in this transcendent realm and attempts to continue the plans that she put in place to protect her family. Along the way, she teams with Phranque, a cosmic cube, and an enchanted ribbon named Rue. While the game features themes of Norse mythology, it also introduces Egyptian and Mongolian mythology into the mix.
God of War Laufey is due out on February 16, 2026 for PS5.
