Fresh on the heels that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 moved 500,000 units following its launch last week, developer Sandfall Interactive has now revealed that the game has sold one million copies three days after release.
As previously reported, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 also ranks as the highest-rated game on Metacritic of 2025 so far. In wake of this latest sales milestone, the development team wrote on X, “And here we are. Three days after launch. One million copies sold. Thank you for believing in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.”
Set in a world inspired by Belle Époque France, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 sees you embarking on a quest to destroy the Paintress, who is slowly erasing people by painting her monolith using a cursed number. She’s now at ’33,’ thus kicking off Expedition 33.
