The NPD Group’s reporting that Cold War-era blaster Call of Duty: Black Ops has become the best-selling game of all time in the US.
The military shooter released back in November 2010 and has continued to sell by the bucket load ever since, shifting 13.7 million copies in North America alone.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops was the best-selling game in February, retaining the top selling spot since launch in November. It has now become the best-selling game in history, topping Wii Play,” commented analyst Anita Frazier.
Apparently, the Activision juggernaut has been hotly tipped by bookie Victor Chandler to take home the gong for the BAFTA GAME Award at next week’s ceremony in London.
