Activision has revealed that 1940s shooter Call of Duty: World at War has eclipsed the 11 million sales mark following its launch in November 2008.
The milestone comes following the launch of the game’s second map pack for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the critically acclaimed FPS. The original map pack has already sold over two million copies.
Developer Treyarch commented: "These outstanding feats would have never been possible without the continued dedication and support from all of the loyal Call of Duty fans.”
"For that, we at Treyarch and Activision would like to extend our sincerest ‘thank you’. We’re honoured and humbled to have one of the greatest online communities in videogame history behind our products."
